Project Task and Resource Tables

One of the most used views is the list of project tasks. It shows a breakdown of the work to be done on your project plan and contains all the "raw" data for each task to be completed.

LiveProject has a number of features that allow for customization to both task and resource tables:

• Right-clicking on a table invokes the context-sensitive drop-down menu. Depending on where you click, this menu will show the options available for that context.
• Selecting "configure viewer" will allow you to customize this table:
  • Select the columns you need to see. You can even define a new set of default columns to be used whenever a new project viewer is opened.
  • Define which suggestions to show in the viewer and for how long.
  • Select if you want the viewer to show values from the project plans or substitute values with the ones from pending suggestions.
• Open MS Project (.mpp) file. (Requires you have Microsoft Project installed).
• Delete the current task.
• Export functionality.

LiveProject also allows you to resize columns and to move them individually using drag and drop.

One very special feature is that LiveProject will remember each change to make to each project viewer. When you exit LiveProject while viewers are open (which we recommend you do), LiveProject will reload the viewer the next time it starts, check for updates to the projects and show the project plans using the same settings as last time.

Should you close a viewer, default settings will be applied next time you open it.

Tip: Bugzilla tables are also customizable.

LiveProject allows users to see the same information as what is available in Microsoft Project and makes configuration easy for new users to learn.
