"Live" Project Views
There is a reason that LiveProject contains the word "live".
One of the most important features when it comes to project sharing and collaboration
is that the better information you have, the better decisions you can make.
LiveProject facilitates this by updating project viewers automatically. Users don't
have to press "refresh" to get the latest. It is fetched automatically when it is
available.
Both for projects hosted on the LiveProject Server and for local MS project files,
LiveProject continuously monitors files for changes. Being "live" also means
that all suggested changes are visible to all users and that your view reflects
the current project status.
For Bugzilla viewers, the same is true. LiveProject will regularly download the
latest set of bugs, but because this information is fetched via the Internet, the
polling is not done as often as for project viewers.
The status of each project can be seen in the top right corner, where a green "live"
button indicates that the viewer is showing the latest. A yellow "cached" button
shows that the data is not "live" anymore, for instance when you are not online.
A red "Unavailable" indicates that the viewer has become invalid or data is not
available at all.
Using LiveProject will enable your team to make informed decisions based on the
latest available information.
