Export to CSV allows you to export information from the selected project plan into a Comma-Separated-Values (CSV) file. You can choose to export Tasks, Resources and/or Tasks with Change History.
Select the types of data to export as well as the files in which to export the data:
Tasks export will export the selected tasks with one row per task.
Resources export will export the selected resources with one row per resource.
Change History export will export the selected tasks with one row per task and a row per accepted suggestion or per suggestion group.
Select the type of delimiter you wish to use to separate values in the CSV file. E.g. value1, value2. Most of the time this should be left as the default comma (,) as it is the delimiter most supported by other applications such as Excel.
Select the type of 'quotation' to use to enclose values in the CSV file. E.g. "value1", "value2". Most of the time this should be left as the default double quotes (") as it is the text qualifier most supported by other applications such as Excel.
If this is checked, then the first row will be a header row with the column names such as Task Name, ID etc.
Select the Task columns to export or export all Task columns.
Select the Resource columns to export or export all Resource columns.
Select the Change History columns to export or export all Task columns.
Choose this option if you want to group the suggestions together based on the time the suggestion was sent. For example, let's say John Smith suggested changes to both the Actual Duration AND the Remaining Duration, then with this option there would only be one line in the export containing both of these changes.
One change per line
Choose this option to export each suggestion on a separate line. For example, let's say John Smith suggested changes to both the Actual Duration AND the Remaining Duration, then with this option there would only be one line in the export with the Actual Duration change and one with the Remaining Duration change.
Export all columns that 'changes' on them. This is in addition to the columns selected specifically. Choose this option to make sure that all changes are captured by the export.
Use this option to exclude parent tasks from the export as these are generally 'summary' tasks.
Use this option to only export tasks that have changes on them.
Include 'pending' suggestions
Check this to also include suggestions that are still pending. Normally only accepted suggestions are included.
Include 'change' information
Include the change information, e.g. sender of the suggestion, approver, date/time it was sent etc. These will be included in additional columns.
